Workshop ** Wedding Sustainable Floristry ** : An Intensive 1 day workshop at Olga’s Flower Farm – Taught by Nadine Brown – the Ivy Institute

For the first worshop of 2025 we wanted to create something meaningful and useful to any florist working in the wedding industry that wants to create more sustainable events

A really intensive day learning from our florist friend Nadine Brown from Australia  and using only farm grown or foraged flowers.

We will cover different flower arrangements, picking flowers from the abundance of our farm in may: think Irises, Peonies, Sweet peas, lots of different perennials and the first hardy annuals.

A unique opportunity to learn sustainble floristry  using exceptional blooms.

Nadine is a Floral Designer, Educator, Mentor, and founder of The Ivy Institute—one of Australia’s leading voices in sustainable floristry. With over 30 years of experience spanning award-winning retail, wedding & events businesses, and a 17-year formal teaching career, she now shares her deep industry knowledge through her Greenhouse Membership, courses, retreats, and sought-after mentoring programs.

A passionate advocate for sustainable floristry, Nadine served as the 2024 MIFGS Sustainable Consultant, Educator, and Judge. In 2025, she hosted the Future of Floristry live panel event, uniting global voices to explore the future of the industry and inspire positive change.

She lives and works from her 100-year-old Ivy Greenhouse in the NSW Southern Highlands Australia,where she runs The Ivy Institute, cares for rescue horses, and offers off-grid short stays—all with a deep respect for nature at the heart of everything she creates.

PROGRAM:

The workshop will be taught in English with  Italian translation available.

At  Olga’s Flower Farm – Longone al Segrino (CO), via Diaz 32 A

17 MAY 2025 – ( Saturday).

If you are looking for a place to stay we have a list of trusted Bed and Breakfast very close to the farm.

Also if you want to spend some extra days on the lake we can provide you any info you need.
